Somaliland principal activities include: Local, National Long Distance
and International Telecommunications, Mobile Communications and a wide
range of Data Services.
The Headquarter of the Company is Hargeisa, and has
representative offices in Dubai, UAE and London, UK where Accounting,
International relations and Carrier Services are handled. The Company
Total Employee strength is 450.
Apart form Telcom Somaliland; Telcom Somaliland has
another Telecommunication partner which is Telcom Somalia who operates
in Somalia and provides same Communication Services. Therefore Telcom
operates in a fully deregulated environment and has established a
reputation as a leader in marketing, networking and operation
initiatives designed for operating in one of the most competitive
markets of the world.
From the first day of its operation the company has been
profitable despite the un-regulated and un-protected extra free market
environment, this is due to increased and unexpected demand for
communication in Somaliland.
Telcom Somaliland was a pioneer of GSM Prepaid Service in
Somaliland and has deeply invested its Mobile Network to provide
its customer a Complete reliable and rich services. Telcom
Somaliland Mobile has covered 90% of Somaliland major and important
towns and it provides both Prepaid and Postpaid Services with
International SMS, Voice Mail and other standard GSM Features to all its
customers.
Telcom Somaliland also implemented GPRS Services in
Somaliland which allows its subscribers to connect and use the internet
wherever the GSM Coverage is available.
